Veteran highlife singer Paapa Yankson was just announced recipient of the  Vodafone Lifetime Achievement Honour.

The 72 -year old, who has turned in at least 15 project, promised a new single in coming weeks. Singer Bessa Simons, and sound engineer Zapp Mallet both showered sterling remarks about Mr. Yankson’s contribution to Ghana’s music industry.

SarkCess Music’s Akwaboah, together with Too Late hitmaker Adina, performed an emotive rendition of his timeless collaboration with Paulina Oduro, Tena Menkyen.

Receiving his prize to a standing ovation, he was full of appreciation for the award. He also dedicated the award to colleague C. K Mann for his influence on his career, .
