MzVee’s latest song, sung in her native Ewe language, is titled Daavi, and was jointly produced by label mate Kuami Eugene and boss Richie Mensah.

A two-time BET Awards honouree, MzVee is in the running for Artist of the Year at the 2017 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards slated for the Accra International Conference Centre tomorrow night. She’s also up for Reggae/Dancehall Artist of the Year and Best Female Vocalist of the Year.

MzVee (born Vera Hamenoo-Kpeda) started out in girl-group D3 and has risen steadily since launching her solo career in 2014. She currently has two albums to her credit: Re-Vee-Lation (2014) and Verified (2015). Awards she has won include VGMA Unsung Artiste of the Year and Best Female Vocal Artist (BASS Awards), both in 2014. She also won Best Female Vocal Performance at this year’s VGMA awards.
