The 17th annual Vodafone-sponsored Ghana Music Awards is scheduled for tomorrow night at the Accra International Conference Centre, and the hype for the event is at an all-time high. New images sights by ENEWSGH show how much effort is being put into final touches ahead of the event.

Starr FM’s Anita Erskine will compered the evening, with support from veteran deck master DJ Black. Dancehall singer MzVee and Stonebwoy, SarkCess frontman Sarkodie, Joe Mettle, and AMG Business’ Medikal all look t unseat EL as VGMA Artist of the Year.

The night, the biggest on Ghana’s music calendar, will also see thrilling performances from the likes of Sarkodie, M.anifest, Unsung winner Kuami Eugene, among others. It airs on GH One TV, as well as Africa Magic channel 102 from 8:30pm.

Instituted in 2000, the coveted prize of Overall Artist of the Year has been won by Kojo Antwi (2001), Lord Kenya (2002), Kontihene (2003), V.I.P (2004), Obour (2005), Ofori Amponsah (2006), Samini (2007), Kwaw Kese (2008), Okyeame Kwame (2009), Sarkodie (2010), V.I.P (2011), Sarkodie (2012), R2Bees (2013), Shatta Wale (2014), Stonebwoy (2015), and EL (2016).
