Lynx Entertainment’s Kuami Eugene has been adjudged winner of this year’s VGMA Unsung Category. He racked up 45% of total votes cast, beating off competition from colleagues Cina Soul, Deon Boakye, eShun, AJ Lyricx, CJ Biggerman, and Afexi Perry.

Eugene is the second act from the Richie Mensah -owned label after MzVee (who won it in 2014). E’s also alumnus of the MTN Hitmaker talent show.

Kuami is author of such records as Hiribaba (ft. MzVee) and Ebeyeyie, which are growing in popularity. He will perform at Saturday’s main event, which will also see the likes of Sarkodie, M.anifest, Kofi Kinaata,  among others.
