Supported by Sobolo crooner Six Strings, eclectic musician Worlasi thrilled patrons who gathered at the forecourt of  Cafe KWAE (One Airport Square) for his Jameson Takeover gig which came off Saturdy, March 18.

Worlasi rendered captivating acoustic versions off his stellar catalogue, including Nukata, Silver and the impish You Saw Me, filling the cozy night air with the gentle magnificence of his voice and charisma. Widely acclaimed for the depth of his music and the quality of his performances, Worlasi is author of two mixtapes: NUSE and Uncut.

Another high point of the night was Six Strings’ superb cover of Runtown’s Mad Over You, which provoked wide applause from the audience, swayed to the melody as the enjoyed their Jameson cocktails.

A series of five event across five locations, Jameson Takeover Accra, sees Worlasi return to Cafe KWAE on April 8 for the final night. Moving chanteuse Cina Soul has also been announced for the tour. It is sponsored by Jameson Irish Whisky.
