Veteran hiplife act Tic Tac ( born Kwaku Otchere Duah), has registered to Kumasi-based Luv FM, his intentions of leading the Musicians Union of Ghana in the near future.
Currently led by Bice Osei Kuffour (Obour), the organisation has constantly come under criticism for unfavourable conditions in the music industry, most recently, for the flop of one of the concerts supposed to crown this year’s edition of the Ghana Music Week Festival.
He revealed that his dream of becoming MUSIGA president is one he has nurtured since a tender age, and hopes to transform the fortunes of the organisation, and by extension, the lives of the industry once given the nod:
“I have always wanted the best for the music industry, as young as 19 years I was part of the executives of Greater Accra. Just before 7 months ago I was part of the national executives of MUSIGA but I left to reflect on my aspirations to become the MUSIGA president”, he said
Emerging unto the scene in the 90s, he is famous for such songs as Philomena, Kwani Kwani, Kangaroo, among others.
