Ace broadcaster Nana Aba Anamoah, who is current anchor of GH One TV’s News Tonight has been appointed News Editor for the station. The mandate took effect on March 1, ENEWSGH sources confirm.
Joining the station from TV3 in 2015, she has quickly become the leading face of the EIB-owned outfit, especially with content relating to news and current affairs. She’s also currently host of Cheers, a light sports analysis show which airs on Saturday mornings. The show usually parades an all-female panel to discuss trending news items in local and international sports with a lifestyle tilt.
Nana Aba is also co-founder of the SN Media Learning Tree, which “provides hands-on-practical training, geared towards providing the most useful and comprehensive media training program available in Ghana.” Her new post as News Editor is expected to augment the already excellent output the station in rendering.
EIB Network, headed by Kwabena Anokye Adisi (Bola Ray) owns Starr 103.5 FM, Live 91.9 FM, Kasapa 102.3 FM all in Accra, Ultimate FM (Kumasi), Agoo FM (Nkawkaw), and Empire FM (Takoradi). Arrangements are also being firmed up regarding four more stations in Cape Coast, Koforidua, Tamale and Kumasi in the next few months. The group also runs The Daily Heritage Newspaper.
