Talented producer and ASBP Music co-founder Slimbo has released the follow- up single to his successful debut Shine which features contemporary rap lords Edem, Teephlow, and E.L.
Since November of last year when he dropped Shine, he has released a sterling accompanying video, and produced masterful work for top Ghanaian act, lately with chanteuse Raquel on Birthday.
On this single: Sorry, he recruits Ron Saforo and Jeremiah Jackson, and takes on issues of romance, the central theme this Valentine’s season. Like Shine, it is also expected to be on his forthcoming debut album, which will be released under his ASBP Music imprint.
Speaking to ENEWSGH about his decision to recruit Ron and Jeremiah, he submitted, that as part of his creative process, he can already tell which act will best render a treatment on the song: “before I even start or finish a record, I’ve already imagined and have a picture of how the end -product would come out like. So the way you’re hearing this song now is as a results of my wild imagination… I envisioned a voice like Ron’s would sound perfect on the beat and I envisioned a voice like Jeremiah’s would give it a touch of dynamism. After looking through my catalogue of artists, they were the ones that came to mind — I undoubtedly knew they could get the job done and help me achieve my goal for the record”.
Born Louis Odame Badu, Slimbo has accrued acclaim for his work on such nationwide tracks as Realer No, Wave, Book of Hiplife, veteran Obrafour’s Boneayefour among others.
