All is set for Ghanaian songstress Efya’s return to the Girl Talk Concert stage this Friday, December 23 at the National Theatre in Accra.
This is her second time since succeeding colleague Becca with a three-year contract as main act for the event. The Gingam singer received wide praise for her sterling performance on her debut show a year ago. Last year’s event also saw guest appearances from TV personality, Afia Schwarzenegger, Joey B, Pappy Kojo, Sarkodie, Mzvee, Selly Galley, Ahuofe Patri, Tiffany among others.
Put together by Kiki Banson’s EKB records, this year’s concert is also powered by Vitamilk, with media partners including 3o Minitz and 4 Syte TV.
Born Jane Efya Awindor to veteran broadcaster Nana Adjoa Awindor of Greetings from Abroad fame, Efya has maintained her grip on the accolade of one of Ghana’s premier female vocalists since bursting unto the scene as one half of duo Irene and Jane in 2008, being awarded GMA Best Female Vocal Performance of the Year an unprecedented four times in a row. Her long-awaited debut album Janesis, which was launched April 22. She recently signed with Nigerian pop singer Wizkid’s Starboy Worldwide label.
