Singer Diamond Appiah, together with former TV3 presenter Eric Don Arthur have been unsuccessful with their attempt at making it into Ghana’s parliament as ballots they polled proved insufficient.

Ms Appiah polled an abysmal 429 votes out of a total of  75, 792 valid votes cast at the Trobu Constituency in Amasaman.

TV Personality Eric Don Arthur was also floored by incumbent Effutu constituency  MP Alex Afenyo Markin who ran on the ticket of the opposition NPP. Don Arthur polled 12,628 as against Markin’s  22,954. A total of 37,109 was cast in the Effutu Constituency.
