How did you get started in music?
During my third year of university I started messing around with a lot of different sounds and software. It got serious maybe around 2012 or 2013, that’s when I started making more beats and sending them to rappers.
How has frequent travel influenced your taste in music?
Growing up in London and Accra was the best of both worlds. It gave me an ear for a lot of genres of music that went on to influence my sound.
How long ago did you start producing?
I’ve been producing properly for about three to four years. I started to DJ as a way to make a name for myself. Initially production wasn’t really popping for me and my sound wasn’t really getting too far. Some people thought I was dope but I guess something was missing so I backtracked and started all over again
What’s your vibe as a DJ?
It’s all about good vibes. Whether you’re super turnt or in your little corner just vibing, it doesn’t matter to me. As long as you’re having a good time then I’m good.
What are your favorite tracks to mix?
Hip-hop from 1997 through 2001
What’s your dream musical collaboration?
Nas and Chronixx
What should we be looking out for from you in the next few months?
I’m working on my EP at the moment so it’s going to be crunch time after Christmas.
Who are the artist we should be watching right now?
Wizkid, Eugy, Mr Eazi, Moelogo, Worlasi and Poe .
