Veteran dancehall singer Abrewa Nana is reportedly working on new music. Produced by Sicnarf Beatz, the song Who I Be, should see her back in mainstream prominence.

Born Dorcas Opoku Dakwa, the singer made her big break into Ghana’s music industry collaborating with Sass Squad and releasing her groundbreaking  debut Sagaa in 2000, for which she won hiplife Song of the Year, and Best Female Vocalist at the Ghana Music Awards. She followed Sagaa up with African Girl (2002) and Maba (2004).

Known for such wide hits as Esisi Meso and Odo Filla, Abrewa Nana was announced as judge for the 2007 edition of the prestigious Idols West Africa singing contest. In 2012, she featured on rapper Eno’s successful Megye Wo Boy, a cover of Sarkodie’s Megye Wo Girl.

Who I Be is set for release December 3rd, to coincide with her 36th birthday.
