Ghanaian dancehall star Stonebwoy Buniton was awarded ‘Most Promising Artiste’ at the International Reggae And World Music Awards (IRAWMA) which came off October 2 at the Arts in Fort Lauderdale / Coral Springs, Florida.

Other nominees for the award include Skip Marley, Alborosie, Franko and Major Myjah. Colleaghu Shatta Wale was adjudged African Song/Entertainer at the awards ahead of Nigeria’s Wizkid and Flavour.

The International Reggae & World Music Awards (IRAWMA), established in 1982 acknowledges and honors the accomplishments and contributions of reggae and world music artists, including: songwriters, performers, promoters and musicians.
