Comedian DKB has been announced by the Ghana National Cardiothoracic Centre as Heart Ambassador.

This forms part of activities to mark this year’s annual World Heart Day, together with a health walk scheduled to start from the Efua Sutherland Park through some principal streets of the capital, medical screening, as well as awareness programmes.

Reacting to the announcement the ‘King of Comedy’ expressed his elation at the mandate, promising to discharge his duties creditably as ambassador.

This year’s event is supported by Stanbic Bank, Vitamilk among others.

Born Derick Kobina Bonney, the comedian and TV personality shot to international fame as one of the celebrity housemates on the seventh season of the reality competition television series Big Brother Africa, in 2012, and has since then, garnered acclaim as one of Ghana’s finest comedians currently.
