Ghanaian online portal urbanroll.net has adjudged Okyeame Kwame’s latest single Tension as the most downloaded song on their platform.
The song was released August 19, and features top young acts Medikal, Cabum, and “Ghana Jollof” singer, Sister Debbie.
The pacy hip-hop number is energized by intricate rap patterns, sharp punchlines of braggadocio, and is immediately striking in he Okyeame Kwame boasts of his longevity, creativity, his affiliation with EIB boss Bola Ray, as well as his financial and academic achievements. All featured acts are remarkably impressive in their delivery too.
Okyeame Kwame has, since entering the industry in 1999, grown to be a respected brand music-wise, for his creativity and depth. He has won several awards including GMA Artist of the Year in 2009. His most recent singles include Small Small and K’si Boys, and Halelujah.
Tension was followed closely by 4×4’s ‘Atongo’ from 4X4, and ‘Ohemaa’ by Spinal ft. Mr. Eazi.
