The 2016 ‘Makeup Awards’ comes off August 27 at the plush at La Palm Royal Beach Hotel, Accra.

Makeup Ghana, organizers say close to 60 nominees spread across 15 groupings for the grand award scheduled on August 27 at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel.

Over 24 makeup artists will contest for the covetous Makeup of the Year award while training institutions, companies and media houses would be honoured under other categories.

The categories includes: makeup artist of the year, best special effects makeup artist, best editorial makeup artist, best bridal makeup artist, best celebrity makeup artist, most promising makeup artist, best TV makeup artist and makeup/beauty brand of the year.

The rest are: best beauty/makeup blog, best makeup/beauty school, most promising Ghanaian owned brand, best beauty/makeup Vlog, most glamorous celebrity and trailblazer.

The awards look to acknowledge work of makeup brands, retailers and industry players who support makeup artists to grow the industry.
