Boss of EKB Records and former manager of singer Becca, Kiki Banson, has discouraged comparison of artists, calling it needless.

This comes in the light of recent beefs among some Ghanaian acts, something which has been consistent in our headlines lately. He made this known to TV host George Quaye on entertainment analysis programme, The Pundits:

“For me, I find it unnecessary. I always say that there aren’t two artists in this world that are the same. You cannot compare artistes,”

Mr Banson also expressed difficulty at the knowledge and comprehension of such critics.

“So as soon as you start comparing artists, for me, I start questioning your understanding of even what you’re doing…You cannot be better than the next art because it is a different game altogether. Talents are not the same. You cannot compare yourself to another if you understand what art is all about.”
