Comedian DKB has been announced as host of this year’s RTP Awards.

The choice of the comedian for the October 10 event organizers say “was based on the comedian’s ability to commandeer any audience, especially one that is made up of seasoned and celebrated media personnel.”

The decision to hand him the hosting opportunity they also add “cements the resolution of the organizers to ensure that, this year’s event is shrouded with an all-Ghanaian act, from MCing to music performances.”

At stake in this year’s scheme is an all-expenses-paid trip to Dubai for selected winners.

Three personalities including Kwami Sefa Kayi, Rev. Yaw Owusu Ansah and Mrs. Oppong Apau will also be inducted into the scheme’s Hall of Fame.

The Radio &Television Personalities Awards is in its fifth year.
