President John Dramani Mahama has revealed that his preference for Ghanaian movies over other movies is so high that he watches only Ghanaian movies on board the Presidential Jet.

“We sometimes fly for about seven hours on the Presidential Jet, and we can’t sit doing nothing. So I ensure we watch only Ghanaian movies.”

Speaking during a media interaction on Uniiq FM from the President’s residence, President Mahama noted that the Ghanaian movie industry has developed considerably and is doing well judging by the quality of movies being produced now.

He expressed confidence that the quality of Ghanaians films can get much better in the coming years if more quality work is done on the production aspect.

President Mahama further commended award winning producer Shirley Frimpong Manso for the quality of her works over the years.

“Shirley Frimpong-Manso is an exceptional producer, I love her works.”
