Okyeame Kwame has been made ambassador for “My African Union, My Voice”, a campaign by the African Union, and some civil society groups.
Nana Ama McBrown, Efya, Wiyaala, Amandzeba Nat Brew, and Gyedu Blay Ambulley, will join Kwame for series of activities planned as part of the the “State of the Union” (SoTU) – a Pan African Civil Society Organizations project which is currently being implemented in ten African countries including Ghana.
The official unveiling took place in Accra last Friday.
‘Be The Voice’ – ‘Osee Ye’ (Oh Say Yeah), an official theme song has also been composed by the musicians.
“I would want to say a very big thank you to the African Union and IDEG for choosing me as a champion for ‘My African Union, My Voice’ campaign,” Kwame said.
“I promise to be the Voice for Africa to inspire and to create a platform for change. I promise that through my music, my actions and in-actions i will remind My African Leaders of their promises to the people.”
