A former producer for JOY FM’s Super Morning Show, Sedem Ofori, has joined Starr FM, enewsgh.com can say. He officially reported to work today Wednesday, February 25.
Ofori becomes the Lead Producer of the Ring Road-based station’s Morning Show, which is hosted by Kafui Dey.
Starr is looking to build a formidable team that can rival competing brands, and the hiring of an experienced hand like Ofori provide ample clue.

While at JOY, he produced and curated winning formats for the many shows he worked on.
A known radio and television personality, his career rise has been beautiful in many ways.
For three years, he produced the award-winning personality TV show Kwaku One-On-One, hosted by Kwaku Sakyi-Addo.
He hosted the Guinness Tales of Greatness in 2007, Next Movie Star Africa (2008), Malta Guinness Street Dance Africa Championship (2009, 2010, 2011,), Zain Touching Lives, Stars Of the Future (2012), and Airtel Touching Lives (2012).
His journalism career started in June, 1999, while working as a presenter at Continental Radio, a campus-based station of the Kwame Nkrumah University Of Science and Technology, where he studied for both his Bachelor of Arts degree at the Faculty of Art and Social Science (1999) and MBA in Corporate Finance (2009).
He had a brief stint as host of the morning show on Mighty FM (Asante Mampong) in 2002. He later moved to Ashh FM (Kumasi), where he also hosted the Morning Show.
Ofori moved to Accra to work with TOP Radio as a Morning Show, Current Affairs and News Analysis show host. He did this while working as a Customer Team Leader at Barclays Bank.
He subsequently joined JOY FM, where he rose through the ranks to become Deputy Head of Talk Programs and Senior Journalist/Lead Producer.
Other programmes he worked on at JOY were Front Page, and the popular Newsfile, of which he was Lead Producer.
Sedem works on freelance basis for the BBC World Service, and has produced documentaries and features from Ghana for the World Service’s One Square Mile and Africa Business Report. He’s also done live stand-ups for the British broadcaster.
Ofori is currently studying Law (LLB) at the Ghana Institute of Public Administration (GIMPA).
