“I have already been approached by the national broadcaster to discuss this matter because, they usually have to buy the media rights and sometimes they don’t have enough money to buy and they have approached government to find a way of assisting them,” he told Joy Sports.
“We are having discussions and whatever the case [would be] Ghanaians would have to watch [the games].
“It is not the question of how much it cost but how much do they have and how much they expect the government to put in, to support. We will not just give them free money, if we are giving them it will be on the understanding that you will sell and repay or Government will take airtime in return for the investment that has been made.”
Youth and Sports Minister Mahama Ayariga told Accra-based JOY FM
