Rising songstress Wiyaala, has paid a courtesy call on Agnes Emefa Assah, the Marketing Director of Vodafone Ghana.
Wiyaala, a former winner of Vodafone Icons, the outfit’s music reality show, was there to formally inform the management of about her wins at the recently held All Africa Music Awards and also thank them for their support.

“A lot of people got to know of me through ‘Vodafone Icons’ as part of the group ‘Black and Peach’. After a year, I went solo. Ever since I’ve been working hard and Vodafone has been supportive in any way they can. I want to thank Vodafone for their support and creating Vodafone Icons and giving people like myself the opportunity to showcase their talent,” she said.
She won two awards; The Most Promising Artist and The Revelation of the African Continent at the awards.
Agnes Emefa-Essah said: “As a company, we are delighted to be at the forefront of music in the country. Wiyaala’s exploits on the African continent gives us more determination to continue to make further inroads and empower young musical talent in the country. This is what we want as a company; to be a driver in the realisation of dreams and aspirations for the youth of this country”.
Wiyaala’s debut self-titled album was launched late last year.
