Musician Kwaw Kese, who is facing trial for unlawful use of narcotics, is to return to court today. He makes another appearance before judge William Boampong of the Kumasi Circuit court.

Kese, whose lawyers had managed to secure him bail on health grounds days ago, is expected to attend the proceedings with some members of his management team. A number of industry colleagues, too, are expected to go show solidarity.

Arrested on the weekend of Saturday November 22, 2014, at a popular pub in the Ashanti Regional capital, he spent some one month appealing for bail while on remand.

After being refused on two occasions, a new plea for bail on health grounds was finally upheld on December 30 in the sum of GHC80, 000 with one surety without justification. The prosecution did not oppose to the application.

Kese had been on admission at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital for a stomach-related complication prior to the December 30 ruling.
