Embattled musician, Kwaw Kese, is to spend some two more weeks in prison, a Kumasi Circuit court has heard. The case, which had adjourned at the last date, is back in court on December 22.
Kese, who is standing trial for unlawful use of narcotics, was refused bail for the second time.
An application was refused, in what the trial judge, William Boampong, said was a claer and unambiguous interpretation of the law.
“The law is the law; my hands are tied,” he said.
Counsel for the musician, Nana Boaitey said the refusal of bail would set a bad precedent.
Kese faces up to some 10 years in jail, experts say.
