Ghana once again lost out on winning the first spot at the continental reality television show, Big Brother Africa, when finalist M’am Bea failed in her bid to create history.
In a show that lasted some 63 days this year, away from the traditional 91, Ghana was hoping to win her first in M’am Bea, but Africa thought otherwise, choosing Tanzania’s Idris over the 7 other finalists.
After some 6 evictions on a night that also saw some musical performances from Nigerian rap act, M.I, and DBanj among others, it Idris and Nigerian ‘hard guy’ Tayo made it to the very final.
Idris was subsequently announced winner of the 300, 000 dollars prize money.
When asked what he would do with the money, he said he would “give it to Africa”.
Big Brother Africa is produced for continental television by Endemol.
