Young, upcoming musician, Togbe, was last Friday crowned winner of the 2014 edition of the MTN Hitmaker show.
The boy from the Volta Region, Torgbe, beat four others to be crowned the winner of the third season of the MTN Hitmaker competition. After almost five months of intense competition, he was crowned as the best amongst the lot.
Snow B and Emperor came second and third respectively. He also beat off competition from two others Mac M and Naba. He walked away with the prize of GH¢100,000 recording deal.
The night started with energetic performances from former competitors including Trozo, Cano Z and Fameye.
Then after the first round of performances by the final five, Mac M and Naba were evicted, paving the way for Torgbe, Emperor and Snow B to battle it out for the top prize.
In the end, it all came down to the votes, consistency throughout the competition and the marks from the judges.
The thick Ewe rapper now has a GH¢100,000 album recording deal, marketing and distribution contract that has the potential to change his life forever and also usher him into the music big leagues in the country and even beyond.
The night also saw riveting performances from Koo Ntakra, Samini, VVIP and Kumasi-based comedian, actor and now musician, Lil Win.
This year’s was the third edition.
