The Royal Senchi Hotel & Resort has formally launched.
A ceremony of some industry persons and state officials as well as chiefs and people of the Akwamu Traditional Area where it is located, took place on Wednesday.
The facility, which has since become popular after it hosted the National Economic Forum some months ago, officially opened its doors to the general public.
Management of the facility say they are hopeful it would attract the needed patronage, adding the fairytale story of how it has grown to see the light of day – even after the many struggles they went through – will spur them on.
Sitting some 84 rooms and a presidential suite, officials say it is yet, “Ghana’s premier hospitality location.”
Built in 2011 (Originally started in 1997 as the Senchi Water Front) it is a luxury hotel infused with the serenity of the Volta Lake complemented by the highest standards of hospitality services. It has been designed to blend into the appealing, balmy environment of the Senchi River and the surrounding rich forestry.
The concept of the hotel management says “is to offer a destination that fuses into the relaxed nature of the environment whilst providing hospitality standards that befit a four star establishment.”
Guests at the event included the paramount chief of Akwamu Traditional Area, Odeneho Kwafo Akoto ll, the Easter Regional Minister, and the Minister of Tourism, Culture & Creative Arts, Elizabeth Ofosu Agyare.
