Sports Journalist, Gary Al-Smith, will this weekend start hosting a new show on TV3. Called Fanzone, it is a weekly tie-in to the station’s coverage of the English Premier League.
Fanzone will be fan-heavy. It would last for the entire duration of the 2014/15 season, which is matches away from the first round.
“I’m excited to announce that I’m joining forces with TV3 from this Sunday. The deal lasts for the duration of the 2014/15 EPL season.
This does not affect my work for any of my other employers. Looking forward to a great relationship. A full statement from the station will follow shortly,” he said in Facebook post.
A fine, young journalist, he works for the Adabraka-based Citi FM. He’s had stints with SKYY TV (Ghana), Vibe FM, and Metro TV.
He writes for the popular South African football website, Supersport.com, a spin off title of the pay per view channel SuperSport; and occasionally contributes to football discussion programmes on CNN, BEIN, ESPN, Aljazeera, and the BBC among other news organizations and blogs.
