Ring Road-based, new urban radio station, Starr FM has started real programming today.
The station, which had run a month-long test transmission in wait for what was going to be a huge take off, officially hit the ground running at dawn.
Morning show host, Kafui Dey, went live on air at exactly 5:00am, running what was a rather smooth immersion into a 4-hour show that will have every other segment a morning show should have.
Former JOY FM presenter, Paa Kwesi Asare, read the morning news at 5:45am, being preceded by a newspaper and online media review with former CITI FM, and Radio XYZ youngster, Isaac Kaledzi.
Elvis Adjetey, read the Business news at 6am, a scheduling style that is somewhat different from what urban radio is used to.
The sports news was read by Henry Asante Twum, and Dennis Mirpuri.
The station is bent on penetrating through what is already, a choked urban radio landscape.
Led by CEO, Bola Ray, who will host the evening drive programme, they have assembled some of the finest talents around.
