From November 6-9, Glitz Africa Fashion Week will welcome an eclectic mix of designers from across the African continent.

Confirmed designers include Mai Atafo from Nigeria, Taibo Bacar from Mosambique, Ejiro Amos Tafiri, April by Kunbi, Duaba Serwa and Thula Sindi from South Africa, among a host of others.

The organizers are seeking to stage a grand event shades better than the previous two.

“This year’s fashion week will be even bigger,” a statement release in Accra on Tuesday read.

“This year, you will still see your favorite elements of Glitz African Fashion Week: a world class production, the hottest up-and-coming designers, a top end fashion exhibition with media and buyers who will feature a fashion park highlighting various industry components.

“A Fashion Seminar, in partnership with World Fashion Colloquia will also take place. Glitz Africa Foundation; a foundation created for the Development and Empowerment of Youth and Women, will be launched and finally, the exquisite Vlisco Shows will be happening once again.

“We are very proud to welcome a great number of designers to this important platform. The amount of designers showing from different African countries for the first time is a great proof of the attention Glitz Africa Fashion Week is receiving both on the international and national level.”

This year’s is under the theme Celebrating African Creativity in Fashion, a choice of tagline the organizers say stays true to it’s commitment to fashion.

“We want to make a visionary statement, to enable the designers to present their latest collections and enthuse guests with fashion and design,” it adds.
