In a bold move, cementing its reputation as Africa’s prime pay-television content provider, M-Net is closing the time-gap between the international debuts of top-rated series like never before.
With the revolutionary ‘Express from the US’ viewing experience, M-Net series fans will now be able to enjoy some of their favourite shows soon after their American broadcast.
The first must-see show that will receive the “Express from the US” treatment is the powerful drama Ray Donovan. While the popular LA fixer will return to US screens for the second season in their prime-time on Sunday 13 July, the very same episode will premiere on M-Net 101 on Tuesday 15 July at 03:00am CAT – a mere hour later, considering the time difference between the two continents.
In the past, DStv subscribers have had delayed broadcasts but having an international series so soon after the US release and broadcast is a first.
That’s not all! In another first, directly after this episode has aired on M-Net, it will be available on the DStv Explora Catch Up menu.
That means that DStv subscribers with Explora decoders can watch it whenever they choose to, before it is screened in its dedicated prime-time evening time-slot on the M-Net schedule. In the case of Ray Donovan, this will be on Tuesday 15 July at 22:30 CAT.
To summarise, with “Express from the US” viewers can now catch Ray Donovan in the following ways:
– On M-Net 101, at 03:00 CAT on Tuesday, straight after its world premiere. (Episode 1: Tuesday, 15 July at 03:00 )
– On DStv Catch Up on your DStv Explora, whenever you like from when the end credits roll after this broadcast.
– Or as you’re accustomed to, in its regular Tuesday night slot at 22:30 CAT on the M-Net 101 schedule, as well as on DStv Catch Up directly afterwards. The first episode will be on Tuesday 15, July at 22:30 CAT.
Because of the extraordinarily fast turn-around time the Express episode will unfortunately not have a family track or hearing impaired titles.
