Sweden referee Jonas Eriksson will be the centre man for the Ghana – USA opener at the 2014 World Cup.

The Black Stars square off with the Stars and Stripes on Monday in Natal in the second Group G game on June 16.

The 40-year-old referee will be assisted on the lines by compatriots Mathias Klasenius and Daniel Warnmark.

Tahiti’s Norbert Hauata is the fourth official.

Eriksson, who is a full time referee, officiated two matches at the Uefa EURO 2012 and the second leg of the CONMEBOL/AFC play-off between Uruguay and Jordan in November 2013.

Ghana’s other group opponents are Germany and Portugal.
