TV3 Network has in a ceremony in Accra, launched its coverage of the 2014 FIFA World Cup.
Dubbed “Brazil 2014…Best seen on TV3’, the coverage is tailored to meet the expectations of the station’s wide spectrum of viewers, which include football fans.
The Chief Executive Officer of TV3, Mr. Augustus Dickson said TV3 Network has acquired the rights of the global football fiesta and will telecast all games live.
He said there will be various activities, which include a live 30-minute, and a 1 hour studio discussions with past footballers and sports journalists before every live telecast.
The Minister of Youth and Sports Elvis Afriyie Ankrah, who was present at the launch, lauded the management of the station:
“TV3 deserves lots of commendations for these innovations; they have been supporting a worthy course from the scratch.”
The launch saw Chief Executive of the Accra Metropolitan Assembly Dr Alfred Oko Vanderpiuje, former Black Stars players Samuel Osei Kuffour and Nii Odartey Lamptey, Becca and some other high profile guests grace it.
