Noted Serbian traditional healer, Mariana Kovacevic has been rehired as a second doctor of the Black Stars ahead of the 2014 FIFA World Cup.

Sports Minister, Hon. Elvis Afriyie Ankrah revealed this at a press briefing in Accra this morning.

Hailed as the ‘placenta doctor,’ the Serbian healer was praised for her experimental therapeutic methods which enhanced quick healing for players of the national team during the last World Cup in South Africa.

“When she administered the concoction I thought she was going to allow me some days to recuperate,” Captain Asamoah Gyan previously hailed the Serbian therapist for the quick recovery from an injury.

“To my surprise she told me to start sprinting after just four hours and I said to myself, ‘this lady must either be crazy or a witch. I hesitantly started to sprint and I couldn’t understand how I managed to do it without any difficulties,” Gyan added.

The Minister also gave a breakdown of the 50-man delegation that will officially represent Ghana in Brazil 2014.

There will be 23 players of course, 10 technical staff, 10 support staff including  a chef and an entertainer as well as officials and management members of the Black Stars.
