Upcoming actress Delali Sika says she is ready for the big league.

So how did acting start for this young and beautiful dame? “Since I was young,” she says “I’ve always pictured myself on screen and how I was going to look like, so I would pick up roles that I made up in my head and I would act them out in front of the mirror. My church drama group was also one of the most important things for the development of my talent.”

According to Delali, it was Genevieve Nnaji’s performance in ‘Sharon Stone’ that really made an impression on her and gave her the acting bug that she’s never been able to rid herself of.

“Genevieve played the role so well and as young as I was, I could see myself playing the same role and that was it for me. I decided from then to become an actor,” she says.

Delali is a member of Uncle Ebo Whyte’s Roverman Productions theatre group, and has appeared in two plays: Men Run, Women Cry and What’s My Name.

Apart from Genevieve Nnaji, she says Mercy Johnson is the biggest inspiration in her career so far.

Delali Sika is currently featuring in a television series on TV3 called “Danger Within” in which she plays a crooked journalist.
