The Vice Chair of the OOF Anne Welsh, who is currently admitted recovering from a very serious sickle cell crisis, has agreed to post this hospital picture to emphasize why sickle cell is such an important part of the Foundation’s health initiative.

The OOF strives to improve the quality of life for sickle cell sufferers across Africa.
President Obasanjo, the Board of Trustees and the staff of the Foundation wish her a speedy return to health as the New Year approaches.

Anne had to this to say: “So Its now confirmed I will be spending the New Year in hospital. Rather than feel sorry for myself, I Thank you Lord as everything happens for a reason. Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers. I am getting there slowly but surely…xoxo.”
