For its fifth edition, the All Africa Music Awards (AFRIMAs) will hold in Ghana, away from the traditional grounds of Nigeria. The event has been slated for the Accra International Conference Center, November 24, and will be compered by the “dynamic trio” of¬†Michael Blackson, Pearl Thusi and Anita Erskine.

According to organizers, the hosts “will add their unique hosting abilities and onstage chemistry to the spectacular offerings for the fifth edition of AFRIMA that is geared to be a glittery, star-studded, world-class event with exhilarating performances from A-list artists, including some of the fifth AFRIMA nominees and past AFRIMA nominees and winners.”

Prior to the main event, the AFRIMA 2018 calendar also comprises a welcome soiree on November 21; the Africa Music Business Summit (AMBS) at the Ballroom, Kempinski Hotel and the AFRIMA Music Village at the Independence Square, both on November 22. A tour of notable destinations and landmarks in Accra has also been slated for November 23, which will be followed by the official nominees party.

The ceremony, highly anticipated, sees top tier African acts including Cassper Nyovest, Sarkodie, Nasty C, Sarkodie, Joe Mettle, Fally Ipupa, Stonebwoy,  Becca, Ebony, Wizkid, Tekno, Davido all in the running for various laurels.
