As it turns out, an alleged leaked audio tape implicating label boss, Ricky “Bullet” Agyeman, and singer Wendy Shay in a sex scandal, was part of a deliberate plot to promote a new single from RuffTown’s camp.

Titled “The Boy is Mine,” Shay’s latest offering begins with the audio which spread widely across social media this past week, confirming the sentiments of some people, that it was all part of a publicity stunt.

Typical of the RuffTown model, the Eno —assisted joint arrives with a heavily sexual overtone, and drips with suggestive entendres. Accompanying visuals, made by Yaw Skyface, corroborate the song’s storyline aptly, displaying Shay in skimpy costumes and choreography.

“The Boy is Mine” follows “Psalm 35” featuring Kuame Eugene and Sakodie. Produced by MOG, it serves as Shay’s fifth official single.
