Here are iconic Phylx Akakpo —made photos from dancehall singer, Shatta Wale’s “Reign” album launch concert. Held at the Fantasy Dome at the Trade Fair Center —Accra, the concert hosted in excess of 20,000 fans eager to witness for themselves, the “Kakai” man’s highly -publicised “coronation.”

Shatta Wale rendered to the crowd, an endless playlist of records, spanning from his days as Bandana till date. He was supported with performances from Smokey Beatz, Efe Keyz, his longtime girlfriend to whom he proposed on the night, Shatta Michy (Michelle Diamond)  and his Militants (comprising Joint 77, Captan, and Addi Self).

The evening was compered by ace comedian, DKB, and had DJ Vyrusky in charge of the turntables. The first copy of the album, was purchased for a whopping GHC 150,000 by Mr. and Mrs. Sleg, renowned business people who have long been supporters of the artist.

The Reign album, consisting a single feature (Nigeria’s Olamide), follows the Cloud 9 EP (October 2017), and After the Storm Album (May 2016).

Songs on the 17-track project include “Don’t Baby my Baby”, “Rosalinda”, “Amount”, and the widespread “Gringo.” Producer MOG, Showerz Ebiem, Damage Music, and Shatta Wale himself (who produces under the alias “Da Maker”) programmed beats for the project.
