2017 Miss International Africa Winner, Awumah Akorfa Daniella, under the marque of her self-founded charity organization—the Akorfa Daniella Foundation —has donated to Rhemar Ghana, a ministry of care and compassion for orphans at Ho in the Volta Region of Ghana.

As part of the foundation’s mission to love, help, comfort and impact the lives of the less fortunate in society, the beauty queen with her team visited and made a donation to the Ho—based orphanage.

The items donated included food, clothing, and toiletries.

Ms. Akorfa her team also took some time to interact with the children and their caretakers, who expressed gratitude at the gesture, also opportunity to call on more individuals, organizations, corporate and religious bodies to come to their aid.

Founded in 2015, the Akorfa Daniella Foundation was born out of the beauty queen’s time at the pageant, where she took girl child education empowerment as her charity project.

Under her foundation, Akorfa has carried out several humanitarian projects over the years, including the “Cover My Nakedness Campaign,” which involved donation of clothes to less fortunate children in places such as Gomoa Swedru, Winneba, Tema and Accra, touring selected schools to empower young girls about taking challenges and breaking the status quo, among other endeavours.
