Aha! Intimates, Ghana’s premiere lingerie line, has launched an online store designed to make shopping more accessible, simple and enjoyable.

“After five years of building this brand from the ground up, it is the right time to step up by bringing our products to all women and men, whether they shop in store or online,” the C.E.O of Aha Intimates, Maame Esi Aquah, said. “We have created a clean, simple, fast and easy online store for a fun shopping experience.”

Maame Esi Acquah, former Miss Universe Ghana (2000), started Aha! Intimates 2012. She was unable to find comfortable-fitting bras, a problem most of her friends identified with. With her savings and support from her mum, she started designing comfortable bras that would fit the average Ghanaian woman.

“(Mum and I) went to the market to get some bras, but we realized that the bras were not fitting very well,” Maame said. “So, then, we picked our sewing machine and needles and then we started customizing it – we sewed the side and then we also sewed in the cup to get it well-fitted.”

From that simple beginning, developed a major line of lingerie, and, now, Ah-qua swimwear, Ah-accessories and an expansion into men’ underwear (Lawen Taylor) under the label aha! Intimates whose stores can be found at most of the malls in Accra Ghana.

Staying true to her roots, Maame continues to promote and produce bras that fit correctly. But now, unlike those first efforts made at home, they’re also highly fashionable.

Just how fashionable? Miss Universe Ghana 2017 winner Ruth Quarshie wore Aha Intimates lingerie on the world stage at the Miss Universe 2017 world finals, where she made it to top I6. She is the muse of the brand for 2018.
