Patrons who thronged this year’s Ghana Meets Naija concert, walked out of the Fantasy Dome at the Trade Fair Center in Accra, exhausted from a long dance session led by the continent’s favourite names in music, but with wide grins of satisfaction on their faces.
A cosmopolitan assemblage numbering over 15,000, the expectant audience more than got their money’s worth, as they were treated to the ultimate West African party. The venue was transformed into a giant disco with Africa’s favourite playlist on offer.
WizKid, Mayorkun, Mr Eazi, Dice Ailes, Patapaa, Stonebwoy, Yaa Pono, Fancy Gadam, King Promise, KiDi, and Kuami Eugene were among headlining acts on the night, with NanaYaa, Kurl Songx, BAM All Stars, Zylofon acts Obibini and Kumi Guitar all mounting the stage as supporting acts.
Surprise appearances were made by soccer star, Asamoah Gyan, Medikal, Kwesi Arthur, Tiwa Savage, Article Wan, and dancehall icon, Shatta Wale.
