Wendy Shay, the new addition to Ricky Nana Agyeman’s RuffTown Records, serves up her debut song, “Uber Driver”.

Immediately it was released, the MOG- produced record became social media fodder, invoking comparison between Ms. Shay and Ebony Reigns (who was franchise act for the label until her demise early this year). A couple of reasons may have fostered this; for one thing, “Uber Driver” is composed via the peculiarly saucy penmanship style which characterised Ebony’s music; secondly, Wendy Shay arrives with an identity similar to Ebony’s –tapping into her sexuality in a fashion not so different from the deceased singer’s approach throughout her career.

Accompanying visuals to “Uber Driver”, shot in South Africa, were directed by by Yaw SKyface.
