Media mogul Nathan Kwabena Anokye Adisi (Bola Ray), in the company of friends on Saturday, donated an assortment of items to the SOS Children’s Village in Tema.
The annual gesture, which has been running for 7 years, was made under the ace broadcaster’s Empire Foundation.
Management of the SOS Village expressed gratitude at this demonstration of profound humanity, stressing that the Bola Ray visit was one they all keenly anticipate every year.
Industry colleagues and friends of Bola Ray, who were present at the event, also took the opportunity to inspire the children at the village, charging them to be resilient in the pursuit of their dreams.
“It is the love. If you see the numbers here; every year it grows. We put it out there and friends come along with items to donate; that alone is satisfactory. The kids know they have not been left alone. There are people there who think about them, show them love and pray for them. That alone is enough”, submits Bola Ray to Starr FM’s Osei Owusu Amankwaah, about the motive behind the initiative.
“In all we all should never give out of abundance. You have to feel it when you give,” he added, before imploring the general public to lend a helping hand to the vulnerable in society as it is inures to the benefit of Ghana at large.
Last year, the foundation among other things, donated a car and adopted a house at the SOS Village, and looks to rehabilitate the football pitch at the Village soon.
