Epistles of Mama”, a 24- track twin CD by Dancehall heavyweight, Stonebwoy, has joined the likes of Rocky Dawuni, Osibisa, and Fuse ODG, as GH musicians to make the Billboard World Chart. Released in December 2017, the project peaked at Number 13 on the Nielsen – compiled list.

A flavoursome array of local and international heavyweights as Sean Paul, Chronixx, Sarkodie, Pressure, I Octane, Efya, Vanessa Bling, Elijah Sateklah, Damaris Joi Fletcher, Joey B, Kabaka Pyramid all feature on the double CD project: one half dedicated to Afrobeats, and the other, reggae/dancehall.

The album is the singer’s 4th project after other well-received bodies of work as Grade 1, Necessary Evil, and Livingstone. The Afrobeat side lines up such songs as Bawasabawhich was produced by Streetbeatz. He hired label mate and protégé Kelvynboy on Dede also featuring King Promise. R2bees’ vocalist Mugeez & Nigeria’s Praiz effectively combine on cross-over hit Mane Me produced by Vacs-On-it. Pepper Dem features Edem & Ama Rae produced by Phillips. Carnival featuring Fayann Lyon and Souljah featurng Elijah Satekla were both produced by Master Garzy. Odo Bi featured King of Ghana rap, Sarkodie was produced by Monie Beatz whiles Tia Tia features Joey B & Yaa Pono and produced by Master Garzy. Top Jamaican artists Vanessa Bling and Sean Paul feature on One Man Lady and Most Original respectively produced by Is-beatz and Black Diamond. My Way features Kofi Kinaata and produced by Lexy Beatz. Hold On produced by Tony “cd” Kelly features Khalia.

On the reggae set, All My Love, produced by Jazzwad features Efyah. Title track Mama comes in two versions. The original which was produced by Candy Mann and sax version, prod by Mizter Okyere. Feeling Lonely features I-octane and produced by Z Heno.

Hakuna Matata features Agent Sasco and produced by Selasi Music. Praises features Elijah Satekla and produced by Chris Oxygen while Savage featuring Pressure Buss Pipe was produced by ODB productions. Same God produced by Alpha Five Music; Suite and Tie features Kabaka Pyramid and produced by Don Coleon. Take You Home features Nigeria’s Burna Boy and South Africa’s AKA and produced by Master Garzy. We Badand My Way featuring Damaris Joi were both Produced Touchpoint music.

A tribute to mother Catherine Satekla who passed in 2015, EOM joins a list of top GH acts to drop projects this year; others including  Sarkodie, EL, and Becca, Trigmatic, MzVee, and Ebony.

Winner of several awards including VGMA Artist of the Year and BET Best International Act: Africa (both in 2015), Stonebwoy is CEO of the BMG imprint (home to budding singer Kevin Boy) and is franchise act for ZYLOFON Music. He also featured on  Morgan Heritage’s “Avrakadabra” (which has been nominated for  ‘Best Reggae Album’ in the 2018 Grammy Awards, alongside ‘Chronology’ by Chronixx, ‘Lost In Paradise’ by Common Kings, ‘Wash House Ting’ by J Boog, and ‘Stony Hill’ by Damian Marley).  All backing vocals were by Efyah, Elijah Satekla and Damaris Joi Fletcher.
