British- born Ghanaian producer Juls, has officially outdoored his 5 track EP “Ojekoo” at a brief ceremony held at the BBNZ Live offices in Accra Last Saturday.
The 5-track EP features Bisa Kdei, Burna Boy, Adekunle Gold, Moelogo, Siza, DJ Tunez, Culan Luke, Tay IWar and Nonso Amadi.
He also spoke about recording with Grammy award winner, Lauryn Hill in 2017 which he hopes would be released “at some point.”
The event was hosted by Antoine Mensah with music from Y FM’s DJ Micsmith. In attendance were some personalities in the entertainment industry including MsNaa (Y FM), Bernard ‘Meister’ Kafui Sokpe, Manager of Mr Eazi, Rapper Kwesi Arthur, Prince Benjamin (Class FM) amongst others.
The London Born Talent started making music professionally in 2010 and has several production credits for artists such as E.L, M.anifest, C-Real, Sarkodie, XO Senavoe, Efya, FOKN Bois, Yaa Pono and many more.
Juls identifies himself as an old-school producer with a new school sound. He started sampling old-school soul records using FL and the mpc. His beats or his style is influenced by producers such as Nottz, 9th Wonder, J Dilla, Just Blaze and DJ Premier.
Born in October 1985, DJ Juls is perhaps most known for his extensive work with singer Mr Eazi, including Skin Tight, and Bankulize.Juls has been associated with top acts as E.L, M.anifest, C-Real, Sarkodie, XO Senavoe, Efya, FOKN Bois, Yaa Pono, Show Dem, etc.
