LYNX Entertainment singer, KiDi, believes that his popular love jam ‘Odo’ deserves an award at the 2018 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards slated for coming months.
Speaking on Happy FM’s Showbiz Xtra, the Afropop singer held that his self-produced number has remained among the most played in the country, something that he believes is testament of his this in the year under review.
To him, while it is not necessarily a do-or-die affair, aVGMA would mean that his effort over the period has been deeply appreciated.
“You don’t do music because of awards, and if you are an artist who does music purposely for awards, you will never excel. Rather, focus on your vision for doing music. Don’t let awards distract you from doing good music,” KiDi submitted.
Meanwhile, Charterhouse Productions Limited, organizers of the annual awards scheme, has opened nominations for the 19th edition of the event, with the likes of Ebony, Sarkodie, and Stonebwoy all looking to bag laurels at this year’s event.
