Like previous years, 2017 has proven especially significant in Ghanaian music. Great music filled our airwaves, and outstanding albums were released by some of the country’s biggest acts.
Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan, a musician himself, has submitted his list of the four most influential acts for 2017. He made this revelation at the recently-held 8th edition of the “LEADseries” mentorship session which came off at the Accra Mall.
Hosted by broadcaster Jay Foley, the event saw the footballer list contemporary giants as Samini, Stonebwoy, Shatta Wale, and Sarkodie as his most consistent acts in the year under review.
According to him, there are a lot of good songs that have being produced and released, but the above list cut it for him: ‘‘we all dance to it, which is good….. but talking about consistency, these there Ghanaian artiste stands out for me’’.
31, Asamoah Gyan is Ghana Black Stars’ all-time leading goalscorer with 51 goals. He also owns about 20 businesses in the area of food import, boxing promotion, water, transport, real estate, mining, air travel and student hostels.
The Lead Series is powered by OMNIS 2131 with support from The Radio Advertising People (TRAP), TOTO Wear, Made Men Agency, Brands Aid, and TIGO Bussiness.
