Fast-rising rappers Kwesi Arthur and B4bonah are not called “new lords” for nothing. Both based in Tema (also home of Sarkodie), they made an outstanding show at this year’s edition of the SarkCess frontman’s Rapperholic concert.
Arthur performed his breakout joint “Grind Day”, while B4bonah rendered his prayerful anthem “Dear God” to rousing cheers, once again justifying their place among the country’s brightest rising stars.
The fifth year running, the show came off at the Accra International Conference Centre Monday, December 25, and witnessed groundbreaking performances from Sarkodie himself, as well as a host of Ghanaian and international acts as, Article Wan, Obrafour, Jayso, Worlasi, King Promise, A.I, Captain Planet, Efya, Becca, Korede Bello, Samini, Joey B, Kurl Songx, Kwaw Kese, Magnom, Akwaboah Jnr., Teephlow, Adina, Strongman, and Yung L.
A multiple-award-winner, Sarkodie recently released his fifth album “Highest”, which follows Makye (2009), Rapperholic (2012), Sarkology (2014), and Mary (2015). Consisting 18 songs, it features collaborations with both local and international heavyweights as Big Narstie, Victoria Kimani (Kenya), Moelogo (UK), Spoken Word act Suli Breaks (UK), Korede Bello (Nigeria), Praiz (Nigeria), Yung L (Nigeria), Jesse Jagz (Nigeria), Flavour (Nigeria) and Bobii Lewis (UK).
The 2017 Rapperholic concert is a joint collaboration between Sarkodie’s SarkCess Music, and A Team Productions.
